Dear parents/guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. As we approach the end of the school year, we are also preparing for our 2025 community classes. Over the past two years, our Monday community classes have been provided free of charge thanks to the support of the Confucius Classroom Program fund. However, with the growing number of students and expanding classes, the Community Kids Class Program will face funding constraints.

To ensure we continue offering students a high-quality and sequential Chinese Language Learning Program in Bendigo, we have made the decision to introduce an access fee per semester. This fee will contribute towards the cost of learning materials, a portion of teachers' salaries, and administrative expenses.

2025 Fee Schedule

• Fee for Semester 1, 2025: $160 per student

  Payment due by 10 Feb 2025

• Fee for Semester 2, 2025: $160 per student

  Payment due by 6 June 2025

Conditions

• Families with three or more children enrolled in the program will receive a 20% discount. The discounted fee will be $128 per semester for each student in such families.
• New students joining the program mid-way through a semester will be charged a prorated fee based on the remaining weeks of the semester.
• In cases of extended sick leave (three weeks or more), parents/guardians may request a partial refund or credit towards the next semester upon providing medical documentation.
• If a student withdraws from the program before the mid-point of the semester (see below table for mid-point date), a 50% refund of the semester fee will be available.
• No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after the mid-point of the semester (mid-point for Sem 1: April 28, mid-point for Sem 2: Oct 13) unless due to exceptional circumstances reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
• No refunds will be provided for absences due to family holidays or clashes with other activities.

We understand that the introduction of a fee may come as a change, but this step is essential for sustaining and enhancing the quality of our program. Your continued support and commitment to your child’s language learning journey are greatly appreciated.

学费条件说明

1. 如果一个家庭有三个或更多孩子参加课程，每位学生将享受20%的折扣。每位学生每学期折后费用为$128。
2. 如新学生在学期中途加入课程，将根据学期剩余周数按比例收费。
3. 若因连续三周或以上的病假无法上课，家长/监护人可提供医疗证明申请部分退款或抵扣下学期费用。
4. 学生若在学期中点之前退出课程（见下表中学期中点日期），可申请50%的学期费用退款。
5. 学生若在学期中点之后退出课程（第一学期中点：4月28日，第二学期中点：10月13日），除特殊情况外，将不予退款。特殊情况需个案审议。
6. 因家庭假期或其他活动冲突导致的缺课将不予退款。

我们理解收费的引入可能会带来一些变化，但这是维持和提高课程质量的必要步骤。感谢您对孩子语言学习旅程的支持和投入。
